OnePlus 7 7T May 2022 update

OnePlus has dispatched the May 2022 security update for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series. The update is occurring in the different regions across the world. Alongside better stability, the update brings a new security patch.

The May 2022 update is arriving on the OnePlus 7 and 7T series via OTA (over the air). This also means, that only a limited number of users will be able to access the update at the moment. However, the company assures to broaden the spectrum of pushing the update to other users in the time ahead.

OnePlus OxygenOS 11.0.8.1 Changelog

The new software divides the update into two packages. Alternatively, the first package comprises the updated May 2022 security patch. While the other package focuses on improving the system stability.

Update Instructions

Consequently, the OTA update will automatically hit your device in some days. However,  if you want to grab the update instantly, then you can do so by navigating to the Settings > System > System Updates. Further, the device will search for the latest and eligible updates for the system. As the update appears, Download and Install the update.
