OFILM reacts on report of supplying camera module for Huawei Mate 60 series

Chinese optical supplier, OFILM has reacted to a report of supplying the camera module to the Huawei Mate 60 series saying that it’s hard to comment anything on this matter.

OFILM staff responded that the company and the customer have signed confidentiality agreements regarding who and what products it supplies to customers. Therefore, OFILM refused to affirm the report.

Chinese media report that OFILM has made the camera module of the Huawei Mate 60 series and accounts majority of the share for rear and front cameras. The report also hints that the phone also has an OFILM fingerprint sensor. The value of the single fingerprint unit is predicted about 500-600 yuan.

Following this report, OFILM stock rose to a new height. Ofilm gained nearly 10%–hitting the daily limit for its Shenzhen-listed shares to 6.40 yuan (88 U.S. cents) Thursday morning, taking gains this year to 36%.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro comes with a main 50-megapixel super optical variable camera (F1.4-F4.0 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization). The secondary is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture). Third comes a 48-megapixel super macro telephoto camera (F3.0 aperture, OIS optical image stabilization).

The front side of the phone features a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.4 aperture). The front camera system also includes a 3D depth camera.
