On August 29, Huawei launched the Mate 60 Pro and its chipset – Kirin 9000s visited the Master Lu benchmark with a mid-range performance. The specs show that the phone has a 12GB+512GB version in action, which is the only version that is currently on sale for customers.

Master Lu ranking reveals that the Kirin 9000s has scored 565,635 points, which is at the level of mid-range phones. Among them, the total score of CPU is 245511 points, which is the mid-range level. The memory performance is 99378 points, which is also the mid-range level. Meanwhile, the storage performance is 220746 points, which is flagship grade.

Master Lu also failed to benchmark the GPU performance of the Kirin 9000s, which is mentioned as the Meleoon 910. This GPU is self-developed by Huawei and not adapted by public benchmarking tools. However, Master Lu expects the GPU performance to be around 300,000.

The overall performance of Kirin 9000s appears to be far away from mainstream Android flagship. While the CPU score is lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The clock frequency of the CPU is 2.62GHz, which matches the frequency of the octa-core chip with initial Mate 60 Pro units. But it also has a 12-core version, which appeared at Antutu benchmark. This 12-core chip might be used for 5G variants but there’s no clearance on this doubt at the moment.
