Not Samsung, BOE to exclusively supply foldable screen for the Huawei Mate X2

Huawei is going to launch its new generation folding smartphone, Huawei Mate X2 on February 22. The phone will come with an inward folding design, Kirin 9000 processor, 50MP main camera, and more.

Ahead of the official launch, most of the specifications including display size, dimension, processor, camera system, battery, and more are circulating online.

Previous leak reveals that the Huawei Mate X2 equipped with the latest camera technology and lens used is supplied by Chinese lens manufacturer Sunny Optical and Ou Feiguang and South Korea’s Samsung will supply the folding screen.

Now, the latest news coming from Chinese media, Samsung has not received supply permission from the US Department of Commerce yet. So it cannot supply displays to Huawei. As per the news, the upcoming Mate x2 will be equipped with a folding screen supplied by BOE.
