Huawei may soon bring us a new flip-style foldable phone with a familiar design like the Huawei Pocket S, reveals a new rear cover leak.

Tipster DigitalChatStation shared a photograph of a transparent case, which could belong to the upcoming flip foldable phone from Huawei.

The shell is divided into two parts, the top side has two cutouts to house the camera and probably a cover screen. The new camera cutouts are bigger than the Pocket S and consume almost the entire height of the top part of the phone.

On the right side are two volume keys, followed by an opening for the fingerprint-embedded power button. The case also has a few more openings on the bottom to reflect input-output and speakers.

Although there aren’t any other specifications revealed at the moment, the tipster does mention that the new Huawei flip foldable will come with 5G connectivity. It’s mentioned that the Huawei Nova 12 and the new vertical foldable phone have Kirin 5G solutions.

Last year, Huawei unveiled its second vertical foldable phone, the Huawei Pocket S. The phone has a maximum width of 170mm, 75.5 mm, width, 7.2mm thickness and weighs 190 grams.

The Pocket S sports a 6.9-inch screen with 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The main screen also offers 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Once folded, the device will operate through a 1.04-inch external screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. However, the cover screen size in the new version may increase up to 2 inches.

This phone is equipped with Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset and features two rear cameras. This includes a 40MP main and a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens. The front side of the device offers a 10.7MP ultra-wide angle camera. This flip-style phone packs a 4000mAh battery and recharges with a 40W wired charger.
