Next-gen Huawei Pura X rumored to use advanced display solution

A Weibo tipster noted that the next-gen Huawei Pura X might use an advanced display solution. While the company has already amazed its consumers with this year’s vertical foldable, it seems the next model will surprise them even more.
DigitalChatStation said that Huawei will launch the next-gen Pura X with a new display solution. The details of this unique screen technology are unclear. But it might be related to the dual-layer OLED, which is quite in trend nowadays.
Huawei introduced the dual-layer OLED solution with the MatePad Pro 12.2. It later used the same display technology for the Mate 70 RS Ultimate and may even bring it with the high-end Pura 80 smartphone variants.
Following the leak, netizens asked why Huawei isn’t considering rollable-screen phones. The tipster responded that such a display is complex to make, and its reliability remains doubtful. Hence, the OEM may not work on it even in the future.
Apart from the next-gen Pura X, the tipster said Huawei’s foldable phone market share is quite stable at present. The company has unveiled ultimate folding phones that have gained a lot of consumers’ attention within a short period since their launch.
New Foldables coming this year:
The leak added that the company is now preparing some more foldable handsets for this year. The first will likely be the Mate XT tri-fold with top-notch upgrades.
As per early inputs, the next generation triple foldable smartphone could bring a new Kirin 5G chip and impressive camera upgrades over its predecessor (Know More).
On the flip side, the Huawei Mate X7 could introduce major changes over the previous-gen model. But the exact upgrades are currently unclear. These changes might be related to the performance, body architecture, and AI functionalities.
Pura X uses a foldable, flexible OLED screen for the internal setup with a 2120 x 1320 pixels resolution and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Besides, its cover screen has a simple OLED with 980 x 980 pixels resolution and 240Hz touch sampling.
It would be worth seeing what major changes the next-gen Pura X will bring in terms of display tech.
