New skipping mode and system improvements firmware for Huawei Watch Fit released in China

Huawei Watch Fit is receiving the latest firmware update that brings support for a new rope skipping mode and optimizations for a system for performance. This update installs fresh build version 1.0.6.6 in China.

The new rope skipping mode for Huawei Watch Fit allows the users to monitor their jumping movements and provide proper guidance with the help of the Huawei Health App. It is also useful for a workout session and doing exercise with fun.

For your information, this feature has already been rolled out for Huawei Watch Fit global variants initially in Europe and gradually expanding to more markets. Furthermore, it first arrived with Watch Fit new.

  • Huawei Watch Fit users getting version 1.0.6.6 upgraded from 1.0.6.2/1.0.5.20 in China.

Update log:

  • New: Added the skipping rope mode of the exercise application can detect exercise data such as the number of skipping ropes, heart rate, and calorie consumption.
  • Optimization: Optimize the system stability of some scenes.

How to update:

To update your Watch GT 2 firmware, please head towards your phone with the Huawei Health app. Find your connected device inside the app, tap on the device, select your Watch Fit and proceed toward the update section. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.

Update Notes:

  • Do not disconnect the Bluetooth connection during the update. 
  •  If the update fails, try again.
  • It may take a while to update the wearable. 
  • Keep the battery level above 20 percent and maintain sufficient storage.
  • Wait until the progress indicator on the device indicates the end of the process.
  • If you have problems using the device, call the Huawei customer service line or visit a Huawei customer service center.
