New HyperOS 2 update brings battery, volume fixes for flagship phones

Xiaomi is rolling out a new HyperOS 2.0 update with a bunch of fixes for battery, volume, display, and more. These improvements are coming to the flagship smartphones at present. It will be available for more models in the coming days.

Devices like Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra have been suffering from certain annoying issues. For instance, the newly launched Xiaomi 15/Pro models were facing battery draining problem while connecting the phone with Mi Band 9.

The connection immediately leads to quick battery draining, ruining both smartphone and wearable experience. On the flip side, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra users reported numerous duplicate borderless themes in the theme section.

Some phone users also revealed a volume interface issue where the volume bar appears on the screen as soon as they pull down the Control Center of the device.

Although the company has now resolved these battery, display, and volume issues with HyperOS 2.0 fixes update. The firmware is rolling out gradually to devices.

You can check the new bug fixes below.

  • Volume Control Interface: Fixed the alignment issues with the volume bar pop-up window while pulling down the Control Center. Users will get a smoother interface.
  • Battery drain of Mi Band 9: Fixed battery draining of Xiaomi 15/Pro when connecting with Mi Band 9. They will observe better battery efficiency.
  • Calculator Input Editing: Fixed the input of numbers and editing in the calculator app.
  • Audio Quality: Fixed and removed the metallic sound artifact while playing WeChat recordings.
  • Theme Display: Fixed and merged the duplicate borderless themes in the theme section of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Xiaomi is also working on the freezing of the screen, the home screen power consumption of the Redmi K70 Ultra, and the volume adjustment module of the Control Center. These fixes will probably arrive with the next HyperOS updates.
