Back in September, Huawei launched its new smartwatch – Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro with a new design and wireless charging support. In October, Huawei unveiled the Watch GT 2 Pro in China, which supports HarmonyOS apps.

According to the tipster from Weibo – Digital King, Huawei is preparing a new smartwatch that was scheduled to release at the end of this year but now scheduled for 2021. However, the tipster didn’t reveal anything specific about this watch but did say that the watch is different than the Watch GT 2 Pro variant.

At Huawei Developer Conference, Huawei announced to release HarmonyOS 2.0 SDK for IoT devices including smartwatches, and developers, especially in China, have started developing applications for HarmonyOS 2.0.

So, we can expect that Huawei may unveil the next Huawei Watch running fully on HarmonyOS but it’s likely that the watch may initially be available in China and later expand in other markets. Meanwhile, an official announcement is still awaited.
