Last year, Huawei launched Petal Maps, its self-developed navigation and maps service application and an alternative to Google Maps. This application is available to download from AppGallery but its availability varies on regions.

Petal Maps is not just a navigation service, it features many functionalities such as real-time traffic conditions, events, and more. It allows users to get their current location, add destinations to favorites, search for new places, and browse maps.

Huawei keeps on sending new features and improvements to Petal Maps from time to time in order to make it more user-friendly. And according to the latest info, the Petal Maps application is now getting a new update with some added functionalities and improvements. It can be identified with version 1.8.0.304(001).

After updating to the latest version, you can get instant reports of the current weather conditions in your local area. You can also multitask and switch to different apps while listening to the navigation prompt simultaneously. Further, there are custom vehicle icons added which now lets you choose your favorite one.

In addition, the users can now sync data via Huawei Mobile Cloud or Dropbox. Besides these useful changes, there is no other new functionality added via the latest update. Check out the detailed changelog linked below.
