Huawei recently attended the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) in Egypt. Here the company put forth its thoughts on how modern Huawei data center solutions and their innovative designs reduce carbon emissions.

The manufacturer addresses that the new data center solutions aim to improve the fast construction facilities. On the other hand, the respective tech also looks forward to maintaining carbon neutrality in the nation.

Notably, the company points out its intentions of developing effective data center solutions that not only increase the digital economy but also contribute equally to environmental welfare.

While describing the benefits of efficient data solutions at the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction session (GlobalABC), the Vice President of Government Affairs and Economic Advisor at Huawei – Andrew Williamson said the following words:

“The modularization of Huawei data center solutions creates new possibilities for fast construction and with a lower carbon footprint. This solution uses much less concrete than conventional buildings. As a result, it offset carbon emissions in the construction phase by more than 90 percent.”

Williamson further mentioned that the latest solutions are playing a vital role in developing the digital infrastructure in the region. Besides, he depicted that these solutions can lessen the construction times by 18 months due to their steel prefabricated design.

Innovative technologies are more eco-friendly

The report suggests that Huawei has started adopting new techs and mechanisms. One of the recent examples is rooftop photovoltaics (PVs). The technique has raised the power usage from renewable energy up to 300 million kWh in 2021.

Furthermore, the company introduced a new solar plant project at the event. Consequently, this solution can produce up to 11,723 MWh of energy per year. Thus, it will supply power to more than 5000 homes and will decrease carbon emissions by 4000+ tons.

Adding more, Williamson said that this solution will also provide green electricity to the Egypt regions in the time ahead. Ultimately, such equipment will result in eco-friendly building constructions.
