Micron, a top US memory chip maker on Wednesday said it had received a special license to do business with Huawei, says a report.

According to Reuters, the chipmaker said it had received all requested licenses to provide support for certain products and qualify new products for Huawei’s mobile and telecom businesses.

Soon after the announcement of US Entity-List, Micron along with tech firms are forced to stop doing business with the Chinese tech giant.

Sumit Sadana, Micron’s chief business officer, told Reuters in an interview it would take time for Micron to work with Huawei to make sure its chips work in Huawei’s newest phones.

The new announcement from Micron comes amid a tepid forecast for the second quarter, but Chief Executive Sanjay Mehrotra said he expected the business to recover in the third quarter of fiscal 2020.
