Meng Wanzhou praises Huawei achievements in AI, chip, HarmonyOS
Meng Wanzhou – the Rotating Chairperson of Huawei praised the company for its 2024 achievements made in AI, chip, and software field. The official gave a thankful message to the firm’s supporters and employees who made the wins possible.
As 2024 ended, Huawei senior executives delivered special messages to company’s employees and customers. Two of these officials are Peng Bo and Meng Wanzhou.
Starting with Meng Wanzhou – the Rotating Chairperson initially thanked its employees and customers who have always supported the company and had shown faith in it even when it was sinking under the tougher U.S. trade export controls.
In the New Year message, Meng highlights Huawei achievements in AI, chip development, and HarmonyOS – the best parts of 2024. She also mentioned that:
“Huawei experienced countless moments of darkness, uncertainty, and defeat. But it has also witnessed one miracle after another, making the impossible possible.”
The executive further said that the hybrid engineering team has made great triumphs this year by improving heat dissipation, power supply, high-speed transmission, and chip reliability. The OEM worked with several partners to ensure better chip designing, upgraded SoC components, and using HBMs for AI models.
Apart from chips and AI, HarmonyOS NEXT gathered the center stage this year. While foreign rivals have taken 10 years to establish the fame of their OS(s), Huawei achieved impressive software growth within 1 year despite global challenges.
Meng ended the speech with words like helping the company to return to the 5G smartphone market in full swing and advance its chipset development.
Huawei Director – Peng Bo
Peng Bo – the board member of Huawei’s Consumer Business shared a message for new employees recently. He said that the company managed to survive in tough situations – thanks to consumers’ enthusiasm. But still, it has a long way to go.
“Sanctions have caused us significant inconvenience. But our research and development team, along with supply chain colleagues, have spent five years to basically independence of our supplies.” – said Vincent Peng Bo.
Peng added that the company can remain competitive in the market only if it includes global firms in its ecosystem. Things won’t work if Huawei solely depends on the Chinese supply chain.
