It’s official now! McDonald’s China launches the Huawei HarmonyOS native application development. A few days ago, both parties signed a cooperation to initiate the development although, there were no official words on it. Finally, we have confirmation on this matter.

Sharing the good news with users, the official HarmonyOS page on Weibo announced that McDonald’s China has launched the native application development. Consequently, delicious food lovers will soon be able to make orders via the new HarmonyOS app.

It is worth noting that the HarmonyOS native application promises to offer a more convenient and smarter experience to users. On the greener side, it will bring a historic leap in the mobile application ecosystem, providing better control in consumers’ hands.

Being the first large-scale global restaurant chain company to launch the HarmonyOS native app development, McDonald’s has sown the seed of a strong software ecosystem.

According to the details, the system base is fully self-developed and removes the traditional AOSP code. It further supports HAP format installation packages, moving one step ahead of iOS and Android apps.

Apart from McDonald’s, several other Chinese companies have made their steps to HarmonyOS native app development. Perhaps, the more enterprises and developers join this community, the more HarmonyOS Ecosystem will be enhanced.
