Huawei is rolling out a new HarmonyOS software update for Nova 7 SE 5G smartphone that mainly installs the security improvements released in March 2022. It enhances the system’s privacy and protects the device against threats.

The March 2022 update for Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G is released with the latest HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.222. However, the corresponding device users will only get this update when they are running on HM OS version 2.0.0.221.

As always, the update rollout is staged and gradually expanding among the Nova 7 SE consumers in the market. In our opinion, you should not wait for the OTA notification to get the update.

Instead, you can check the update manually by navigating settings, system & updates, software updates, and then check for updates. Once the update appears on the screen, hit the download and install button.

Huawei March 2022 HarmonyOS security patch brings fixes over 35 CVEs. Among them, 2 CVEs were found in the framework, 8 CVEs in the system, and 25 CVEs were resolved in third-party libraries for improved system security.

Remember:

Make a backup of your important data. However, this update won’t delete your data but it’s good to have a backup. Maintain enough storage and battery on your smartphone to reduce the chance of interruption during the update. Also, we recommend you use a WiFi connection.

Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G:

Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G smartphone features a 6.50-inch display and is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 820 processor. It has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and packs with a 4000mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the phone equips with a 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP rear quad-camera system. While the front side has a 16MP selfie shooter.
