Many smartphones will be first to adopt 5G-A technology this year: Huawei Executive

Huawei is speedily working on the deployment of 5G-A technology and at the same time, the company plans to impose the new tech on many smartphones this year. Recently, one of the company’s executives shared some insights on this matter.

During the MWC 2024 Barcelona event, Huawei unveiled many network and digital transformation solutions on the stage. The company further elaborated on how new products will help both users and enterprises to obtain a beneficial experience.

Meanwhile, the Director of Huawei Beijing Carrier Solution Sales – Jin Wei said this year, many smartphones will become the first to adopt the 5G-A technology. This will open doors for numerous interesting services and facilities for consumers.

In addition, Jin Wei cited that the company is constantly exploring new ways that introduce AI techs for its users. Some new features in this segment include real-time translation, digital avatar during video calls, and a few network-based capabilities.

On the flip side, Huawei is reportedly working on AR and VR products that will again offer an efficient, smarter, and more productive experience to users.

So far, the Huawei Mate 70 series is on the list to feature 5.5G network technology on its official unveiling. However, the Chinese tech giant has not confirmed the news yet. Though the new statement adds some clues on this matter.

5G-A is the advanced version of 5G. It is 10 times faster than the older variant and can deliver 5 to 10 gigabits for a maximum data download rate. It also supports 100G connections, large bandwidth, low latency, and high innovative operations.
