Honor X50i has started receiving a significant MagicOS 7.1.0.142 update that installs a bunch of new features. The firmware also brings the latest security patch released in November 2023 to enhance the phone’s system security.

According to the changelog, the company has added a new Status Bar mode that will show time, WLAN network, signal, and battery percentage. Users can also modify the display via editing tools in this mode.

For the Control Center, the firmware welcomes smart YOYO suggestions to switch between editing features. It further brings the automatic brightness adjustment tab to quickly manage the light on your device’s screen.

With this rollout, Honor X50i phone holders will find a new way to turn on/off the flashlight. All you have to do is – double-click on the volume down button when the device is locked. On the flip side, the floating window now supports more apps.

The feature list reads a customized album cover for the Gallery app. Besides, you can now use the password lock feature for hidden albums. Eliminating bugs and annoying issues, the update also integrates the November 2023 patch.

How to update?

Honor X50i is getting the latest MagicOS 7.1.0.142 feature update in batches and it will take a few days to reach all of the users. However, you can open the My Honor App and tap on the Updates section to install the new firmware.
