MagicOS 7.1.0.136 update for Honor Magic 5 Series will bring a new camera watermark style and feature for the users. The update is yet to rollout for the corresponding devices.

According to the information,  the new watermark will allow these users to add a new design scheme to the captured image. Although, Honor phones are already equipped with a watermark feature but this one is something different.

All of these watermarks are inspired by Huawei. Yet, Honor’s adaptation will show the additional components of the image such as model, time, and location. The user can enable the settings separately or altogether.

Watermark:

Watermark enables to put a stamp of key camera features into the captured picture. This feature is long been available in smartphones. However, it was first used by Huawei with early P-series devices.

And once again, this watermark feature has returned to trends. This is due to the changes that companies are making to paste the watermark into the processed image. For example, Huawei’s new watermark adds a white strip on the bottom.

The strip then contains labels (styled) for the name of the phone and camera image branding “XMAGE”. Similarly, Xiaomi and Oppo use the style to add camera information including the aperture on the white stripe. This adds an extra layer of dynamic flavor to the pictures.

Currently, Honor has not released the MagicOS 7.1.0.136 for devices but we’ll wait for a wider release in order to fetch the new watermark feature on all Honor phones.
