Lenovo tops, Huawei ranks second in Q1 2025 Chinese PC sales market

Huawei is doing well in the Chinese PC sales market, according to the Q1 2025 Canalys report. The company has achieved a significant shipment figure in the first three months of this year. Meanwhile, it maintained its shares amid global challenges.

Canalys has published the Q1 2025 Chinese PC market report, ranking the top five brands like Lenovo, Huawei, Apple, HP, and others on the list. The overall notebook segment has jumped by 12% this time and shipped 8..9 million units.

Lenovo is leading this race with 2.63 million PC shipments and 30% of the market share. Despite being the top ranker, the company has slumped by 3% YoY.

Speaking of Huawei, the company has improved slightly from its previous year’s performance and sold 1.04 PCs in the Chinese market. It has captured 12% of the market.

Apart from the company’s latest achievement, something that has caught even more attention is the newly launched HarmonyOS PCs. Emma Xu, the senior analyst at Canalys, said that HarmonyOS is redefining the level of competition for PCs.

“Huawei’s long-standing strength in mobile devices and emerging AI differentiation could see HarmonyOS redefine the competitive landscape for PCs in the mid to long term amid challenges to meet consumer expectations.”

iSoftStone is the third on the list with 0.89 million PC shipments and 10% of the market share with 111% of annual growth rate. Apple also progressed this time with 43% YoY and sold around 0.68 million notebooks to Chinese customers.

HP ranked fifth with a shipment of 0.64 million PC units and 7% of the market share. Canalys believes that the PC market won’t see major growth this year. Although the case could be different in terms of Huawei with its new HarmonyOS PCs.
