Leak reveals main camera specs for all Huawei Pura 80 models
Huawei is preparing to introduce impressive main camera specs for the Pura 80 models. A new leak suggests that the upcoming flagship will be the most powerful camera lineup with a few self-made camera sensors and new variable aperture tech.
DigitalChatStaion has come up with a new array of Huawei Pura 80 models’ main camera upgrades. The newly leaked information sheds light on three primary lenses.

- 50MP IMX989 RYYB
- 50MP 1/1.3-inch
Self-made camera sensor
The tipster reveals a self-developed 1-inch 50MP main camera SC5A0CS with RYYB. Netizens speculated that Huawei might have collaborated with SmartSens which focuses on research, design, and development of high-performance sensors.
Another input reveals that the self-made sensor measures 1/0.98 inches and features RYYB. The filter enhances low-light performance and captures brighter shots. Being a smaller camera package, it makes the device lighter and more portable.
Based on early revelations, the SC5A0CS self-made sensor could be used for the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. The device will offer an impressive photography experience.
IMX989 50MP Sensor
The next sensor on the list is the Sony IMX989 RYYB. The company may use this main camera lens for the Pura 80 Pro+ model. It has a high dynamic range to boost low-light functioning and supports precise color generation.
IMX989 sensor also features a Quad Bayer color filter array to improve light sensitivity and reduce noise in the image. Thus, you will get crisper and clearer shots without any hazy effect.
Huawei has used the respective sensor for the Pura 70 Ultra smartphone. We may further witness this sensor in the Pura 80 Pro+ handset in the coming days.
50MP 1/1.3-inch
The third sensor is a 50MP 1/1.3-inch which could be OmniVision OV50K or OV50H. It may belong to the Standard and Pro models of the Pura 80 series.
- OV50K: Features QPD (Quad Phase Detection) for enhanced autofocus capabilities. It also contains correlated multiple sampling to generate brighter images in dim light scenarios.
- OV50H: Uses horizontal/vertical QPD for autofocus. The lens also includes a dual conversion gain technology to boost low-light performance.
Pura line is considered to bring the best camera devices. No doubt, the company will use upgraded and new imaging technologies that can uplift the camera and photography experience with the Pura 80 series for its consumers.
