Latest HarmonyOS 2 patch for Huawei Mate 30 series improves system stability

HarmonyOS powered Huawei Mate 30 phones are getting a new software update in China. This is just a small patch that carries a negligible package size of 33.67MB to enhance the overall system stability.

The small package size itself makes it clear that this patch does not include any major change. To be mentioned, it will take time to cover every Mate 30 device, due to the staged rollout. The adapting models include:

  • Huawei Mate 30 4G/5G
  • Huawei Mate 30 Pro 4G/5G
  • Huawei Mate 30 Pro RS Porsche Design

Previous update:

The Mate 30 users have recently received HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.166 update that brought some major changes for these devices. This comes with new features includes improvements, and bug fixes.

The update also added a new multi-camera mode that lets you shoot from multiple angles using a WLAN network. It also r brings changes to the control panel and notification center which can now be easily switched by swiping left or right.

Furthermore, the last update also enhances the system security and also optimized some of the features, and fixes some known bugs.

The Mate 30 series is Huawei’s one of the most popular flagship that comes with a bunch of features. The lineup includes two models – Mate 30 (4G and 5G), Mate 30 Pro (4G and 5G), Mate 30 RS.

Huawei Mate 30 sports a 6.62-inch and Mate 30 Pro has a 6.53-inch OLED display. These smartphones use an OLED panel with HDR10 support and high resolutions. The standard Mate 30 uses flat panel, while the Mate 30 Pro has curved edges.

These devices are powered by the Kirin 990 Octa-core processor along with different RAM options including 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM. The base variant packs a 4200mAh battery and the Pro model has 4500mAh.

The Huawei Mate 30 is equipped with a 40MP triple rear camera setup and the Mate 30 Pro has a 40MP quad-camera system. Both these phones come pre-installed with the Android 10 based EMUI 10.1.
