Knuckle Gesture feature rolling out for Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro with February 2021 security update

Back in December, Huawei has introduced new devices in its mid-range Nova series, Nova 8 and 8 Pro. These models come with Kirin 985 7nm processor, pre-installed EMUI 11, good battery, and more.

The Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro devices are most popular due to their latest offering and affordable price. After the launch, the company is sending back-to-back EMUI updates for Nova 8 lineups for further improvements.

As we know, Huawei is good at delivering continuous new improvements for its devices via OTA updates. Previously Nova 8 and 8 pro users received system optimization update.

Now, Huawei has released a new update for the Nova 8 and 8 Pro users. The update installs the February 2021 security patch along with new improvements and optimizations.

With this update, the Nova 8 smartphones receive audio, display, and system optimization whereas the 8 Pro device received the camera and system optimization, which enhances the display effects and system stability.

About the knuckle gesture feature, it is one of the easier and coolest features. It will allow you to take screenshots, screen-recording, entering in the split-screen mode, and other activities just via your knuckles.

Huawei Nova 8 users receiving EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.152 upgraded from 11.0.0.135
Huawei Nova 8 Pro users receiving EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.137 upgraded from 11.0.0.130

REMEMBER:

The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
EMUI version and size may vary.
Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

HOW TO INSTALL UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

Open Settings
Click on the System
Open Software update
Tap on Check for updates option
If an update is available, click on Download and install
After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

Open the Support app on your device
Go to the Service tab
Click on the update button
Tap on Check for update option
If an update is available, click on Download and install
After installation Reboot the device
