Kirin 9030 chip apparently in the works for Huawei Mate 80 series
Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to launch later this year with a new Kirin chip, probably called 9030 5G. A recent leak says the company has started working on a fresh smartphone processor with improved efficiency and performance upgrades.
DigitalChatStation revealed the “chip launch rhythm” of this year. Starting with Apple, the tipster said that Apple will launch its A19 Pro chipset in September 2025.
The US firm will likely introduce its flagship processor with the iPhone 17 series. Qualcomm is also preparing the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 with a higher frequency than the previous-gen SoC. It may rely on a 3nm N3P process and release in late September.
Dimensity 9500 is also in this set, but doesn’t have a release date yet. Its key features and leaked specs haven’t surfaced online, though we may soon get its details.
Speaking of Huawei, the tipster said that the Kirin 9030 chip may debut by the end of this year with the Mate 80 series. The leak also said this time, the Kirin chipset will efficiently compete with the above-mentioned three processors.

In recent years, Huawei has significantly enhanced its chips for all its flagship and mid-range devices. Whether it’s Nova models, Enjoy series, or the top-notch Pura/Mate lineups. And the Mate 80 will not be an exception in this case.
