Huawei recently published what the new July 2022 HarmonyOS security patch details offer to your smartphone. The software update bulletins contain details about the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed by the July 2022 patch.

According to the details, the Huawei July 2022 HarmonyOS patch brings a bundle of improvements to enhance the experience and stability of Huawei devices.

Huawei HarmonyOS July 2022 details

The July 2022 security patch includes Kernel sections fixes CVE-2022-34735, and CVE-2022-34736, for the medium level of severity. On the Other hand system sections include CVE-2022-34740, CVE-2022-34741, CVE-2022-34739, and CVE-2022-34742 fixes for both the medium and high levels of severity, It also aims to fix the fingerprint module vulnerabilities of overflow in arithmetic addition.

On the flip side, the App section has a fix for the system UI module in permission control. Moreover, it brings  CVE-2022-34737 and CVE-2022-34738 severity to a medium level.

It also adds the third-party library vulnerabilities with only the CVE, severity and updated version provide. It brings around 1 high and 5 medium levels of CVEs for the July 2022 HarmonyOS update.

Notably, the July 2022 HarmonyOS update for security enhancements provided in later versions of HarmonyOS makes it more difficult for attackers to exploit vulnerabilities in HarmonyOS.
