Huawei’s Mate XT is currently the only tri-fold smartphone in the world and the latest statics revealed a major success for this device with more 400,000 sales.

It is reported that the Huawei Mate XT has shattered a sales record despite being introduced with a new display technology. A report from China shows that the sales volume of the Mate XT has crossed 400,000 units sold globally.

Released in September last year, the Mate XT launched in two colors and three storage options with the following 19,999 yuan for 256GB storage, 21,999 yuan for 512GB and 23,999 yuan for the 1TB storage variant.

These prices are quite high compared to other Huawei flagships, which comes at around 40% or 50% of this pricing.

With this high price tag and sales numbers, the product is appeared to be a major success for the Chinese tech giant. This will also have a positive impact on the foldable smartphone industry, which continue to rise following new and improved display technologies and changing form factor.

The Mate XT brings a 10.2-inch foldable screen that could fold twice. It becomes a 7.9-inches device when folded once and 6.4-inches with twice fold.
