Huawei’s HMS is the third largest mobile application ecosystem across the globe

Today, Huawei has officially organized a press conference to disclose the company’s performance, growth, and revenue for the year 2020 (annual business result).

According to Huawei’s data report, Huawei revenue sales hit 891.4 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 3.8% in the global market and the net profit was 64.6 billion yuan with a YoY increase of 3.2%. The CFO (cash flow from operating activities) was around 35.2 billion yuan.

At the conference, the Vice-Chairman and the rotating chairman of Huawei, Hu Houkun claimed that HMS (Huawei mobile services) has become a very popular mobile application ecosystem in 2020, secures third place in the world.

As per previously statics, 2.3 million developers across the globe have been registered including 300,000 overseas and more than 120,000 extended applications by the end of 2020. However, the numbers are still consistently growing.

Additionally, he also stated that the company’s self-developed distributed operating system, HarmonyOS has successfully engaged more than 20 hardware sellers and 280 application partners in ecological construction.

Furthermore, he also hints that the Chinese tech giant is planning to launch HarmonyOS powered smartphones in the coming days. Starting with April, the company will gradually start to upgrade the Hongmeng OS for mobiles.
