Huawei would not be excluded from 5G network development in France, says Finance minister.

“There is no discrimination towards Huawei..No, Huawei will not be excluded from the 5G in France,” Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told BFM TV (via ET).

He said the French government will take care of the security measure to protect our sovereign interests.

“It is normal if we look first if they can provide the solution. And I think out Chinese partners can understand that,” said Le Maire.

He added “Huawei will be not be discriminated against. If Huawei has a better offer from a technical point of view or price it can have access to 5G in France.

The U.S. administration is continuously pursuing allies to drop Huawei from 5G network development but the European Union has already allowed the Chinese tech giant for 5G.

Huawei has repeatedly denied the allegation made by the U.S. and saying there’s no concrete evidence of any allegations.
