William Xu, Huawei’s Director of the Board and President of the Institute of Strategic Research said that Huawei will maintain robust business growth in the absence of U.S. supply and does not rely on any U.S. technology and components for 5G.

After the US trade restrictions imposed on Huawei, the company cannot do business with US firms including the purchase of required technologies.

Following this event, the company said it’ll find alternatives to its current supplier to prevent disruption in production for smartphones and network equipment.

“If the United States can continue to provide Huawei with the components we will definitely welcome them”, Xu said. “But if not, we will still maintain robust business growth.” Reuters.

Recently, the US Commerce Department secretary said the government will soon complete the licensing process for companies that want to sell their products to Huawei.
