Huawei Watch GT 5 series receiving new health and payment features

Huawei is bringing some new health and payment features to the Watch GT 5 series via a new update. The company has also improved existing functions of the wearable. Users will observe a more stable and seamless functioning after this rollout.

The tech giant is busy working on new wearables. Band 10 and Watch 5 will soon step into the consumer world. But these endeavors didn’t affect the HarmonyOS NEXT distribution process. As of now, the OEM is releasing a new update.

According to the changelog, Huawei Watch GT 5 series is getting health and payment features update with HarmonyOS 5.0.0.159 version and a package of 50.92 MB.

In terms of health features, the company has added new exercise fitness classes. Users don’t need to organize their exercise feed as it now supports automatic sorting. One can further easily access specific exercises via the down key.

Apart from health features, a new back card payment feature for wearables. The watch will enable users to use their bank cards directly for payments by just scanning the QR code. You don’t need to look for other alternatives after this capability.

The latest rollout also optimizes the input method and offline maps feature. You can check the complete changelog below and wait for the OTA upgrade.
