Huawei has started pushing off a new July 2022 HarmonyOS update for Watch GT 3 series that adds support for the WeChat Pay feature. Alongside, the update also gives room to some new functions that amplify the device’s overall user experience.

Just a few days ago, Huawei announced the WeChat edition for the Watch GT 3 series. As per the reports, the company was putting efforts to bring the WeChat function for the respective wearables for Android and HarmonyOS users. Looks like, the Chinese tech giant has begun the process with this new update.

Recently, Huawei has dispatched the July 2022 update for Watch GT 3 Pro and Watch GT Runner. Now the company is expanding this update gradually to the standard Watch GT 3 gadget, this time with the all-new WeChat payment feature.

The latest update carries the build version HarmonyOS 2.1.0.376. Although we do not have any information regarding the update size. Yet we suggest having at least 200MB of free space in the device.

Talking about the new additions, the changelog reads the presence of new Metronome functions that supports various types of sports activities. Besides, it brings access to control the iOS music player system. Moreover, there are a handful of optimizations that will offer the users a more stable and efficient wearable system.

Luckily, you can also install the latest firmware manually. Just visit the Huawei Health app on your smartphone. Next, connect your smartwatch with your handset. Further, inside the app, tap on the Device and select the watch name and proceed to the update section. From here, follow the on-screen norms and let the watch adapt to the new firmware.
