Huawei has started to rollout a new update for Watch GT 2 Pro wearable with September 2022 improvement. This update marks the continued support from Huawei to this smartwatch owner that has long been standing since its launch.

As reported by Huaweiblog, Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro owners are receiving September 2022 update with firmware version 11.0.10.8. Similar to previous rollouts, the company is expanding this upgrade in batches. So, each Watch GT 2 Pro model may take some time to get it onboard.

Meanwhile, the changelog reads that this new build version will improve the system stability of the Watch GT 2 Pro and enable you a better performance. We recommend you get this software on your smartwatch as soon as it appears.

If you want to immediately check the update on your Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro smartwatch, open the Huawei Health app, and navigate toward your watch in the watch selection menu.

Once selected, you need to tap on the Software update and then the watch will start checking for the software update. As compared to smartphones, the Watch GT 2 Pro update procedure takes up to minutes to transfer and install the OTA update package.

Therefore, we recommend you wait, while the installation completes.

YES! There are some safety precautions that you can follow to safe keep your smartwatch without bricking it.

First and most important, do not let your smartwatch distance away from the smartwatch or abandon the Bluetooth connection, which could cause the update to fail. If it happens, then reconnect the smartwatch and retry.

Second, comes the battery life, Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is required to charge up to at least 20 percent, while we recommend you to charge it up to 50 percent for a better user experience before moving to install this latest firmware.
