Huawei Watch 5 will debut next week in China, and ahead of the launch, it has appeared in a teardown. A Weibo blogger has disassembled the top-end wearable and found some interesting secrets regarding a new Kirin smartwatch chipset.

Watch 5 is already available in global markets and is about to make its way in China. The wearable carries many interesting features and smarter AI capabilities.

But the latest Huawei Watch 5 teardown reveals a new Kirin chip secret. It looks like the smartwatch equips small Kirin components in the internal or core system.

The tipster found that the Watch 5 wearable runs on Huawei’s self-made Kirin chip. The name of this processor is Kirin H19200V100 (model number). According to the details, this is the first wearable with a HiSilicon 5G chipset.

On the other hand, the flagship wearable’s running memory components are layered on each other and often require air gun heating to separate them. It seems to have a sophisticated material design to ensure efficient performance.

Further inputs reveal that the company has integrated 12 sensors. These could be related to the new X-Tap multi-sensing technology that includes an ECG sensor, PPG sensor, and some new tactile sensing capabilities.

Inputs also showcase that the Watch 5 is the world’s first 5G wearable. It has a 5G communication module to deliver a strong and super-effective communication experience.

Looking into the shared images of the Watch 5, the company has seeded small components that form a complex internal structure, higher than the smartphone. This formation could reduce power consumption and deliver smoother user experiences.

Based on the global details, Huawei Watch 5 integrates two AI models: Pangu and DeepSeek. Both models boost the Celia AI virtual assistant activities and enhance the overall health experience. What else the device will bring to the surface would be worth looking at.
