On May 15, Huawei launched the iconic Watch 5 wearable with unique tech capabilities and interesting features. The all-new wrist gadget introduces an advanced way to monitor your health and get an accurate health status every time.

Design
Huawei Watch 5 has two wrist size variants: 46mm and 42mm. The first one is available in five royal shades: Purple, Silver, Brown, Blue, and Black. The second version (42mm) comes in five elegant colors: Beige, Sand Gold, White, Green, and Black.
The tech giant has crafted the new wearable with iconic technologies. It has embossed Kármán line-inspired curves and gave a beautiful appearance to the smartwatch.
Watch 5 uses an aerospace-grade titanium case that protects the inner glass of the device and gives a lightweight feel to your wrist. It integrates a 904L durable stainless steel case with a dazzling effect and houses a giant spherical sapphire glass.
Display
Huawei Watch 5 has a 1.5-inch (46mm) and 1.38-inch (42mm) LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display, featuring razor-sharp visuals. The screen supports 3000 nits peak brightness and is framed by 1.8mm ultra-narrow bezels. It has a 466 x 466 pixels resolution.
The wearable has a rotating crown, a function button, and an all-new finger touch sensor. It supports wireless charging and has a 5 ATM waterproof level.

Multi-Sensing X-Tap (finger touch sensor)
Watch 5 introduces a unique, miniature yet innovative finger touch sensor called Multi-sensing X-Tap. It combines multiple sensor parts like ECG, PPG, and a 10-level Tactile Sensor in a small oval-shaped module.
Benefit: This small sensor can deliver fast and highly accurate health data or assessment reports, and other details anytime and anywhere. Just tap on the sensor.

Another benefit of this X-Tap sensor is to support real-time fingertip SpO2 measurement. A simple tap on the sensor can show accurate blood-oxygen reading in just 10 seconds – thanks to powerful signals that makes health monitoring easier.
X-Tap also enables users to start the Health Glance and get a clear and easy-to-understand report within a minute, showing 11 key indicators and a personalized analysis. All you have to do is press and hold the X-Tap sensor.

Smart Gestures
Huawei Watch 5 brings smart gestures, powered by NPU. You can set some quick operations on these gestures, like managing calls, silencing alarms, controlling your music, and remote shutter. Users can opt for two gestures:
- Double-Tap: Tap your thumb and index fingertips together twice to confirm an option.
- Double-Slide: Slide your thumb twice along your index finger to switch options
eSIM Calls and Connectivity
Huawei Watch 5 supports eSIM services. You can make calls without your phone and connect to your loved ones over the internet with a Wi-Fi 6 network. It is also capable of NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 connections, easy payments, and more.

Battery
Huawei Watch 5 supports two battery modes: Standard and Battery Saver. The first one offers 3-day battery life for 42mm and 4.5 days for 46mm in typical usage (AOD on in both cases). The second one offers a battery life of 7 days of battery life for 42mm and 11 days of battery life for 46mm variant.
