Huawei users awaits EMUI 15 beta announcement

Huawei global phone users are waiting for a new major software upgrade and have locked their eyes on the EMUI 15 beta announcement. The latest version is already here, but the company has yet to kickstart an official testing program for it.

EMUI 15 made its way to the real world with the Huawei Mate X6 foldable global release. While the device entered the overseas market in December last year, the company hasn’t spilled the beans on the EMUI 15 release or the beta activity.

It is unclear when the tech giant will share details on this matter. Although we have certain clues that hint about the Huawei EMUI 15 Beta announcement timeline.

Huawei EMUI 14 Beta:

The Chinese phone maker surprised its global users with the sudden launch of the EMUI 14 beta campaign. It started rolling out the beta activity in late March 2024.

EMUI 14 was initially appointed for the P60 series, P50 series, and Mate 50 models. Later, it reached some old folding phones, the Nova 11 lineup, and Nova Y91.

Next Beta at the same time?

We’re about to pass one year since the EMUI 14 beta happened. Thus, we can expect to hear the EMUI 15 beta announcement in late March or probably early April. It would be the perfect time for the beta rollout as the wait bar for users is already at its height.

Speaking of the devices, the Pura 70, P60, Mate X3, and Mate 50 will likely be the first to grab the newest version. If you have any of these devices, then we suggest you download and install the Huawei Beta application in advance.

EMUI 15 Features

Mate X6 doesn’t reveal many changes to the EMUI 15 software version. But it showed a few additions in the theme section such as Emoji Crush, enhanced immersive weather, and Air Hoops. There could be more options that are currently unknown.

There may be more room for UI customization with the EMUI 15 upgrade. It could bring new enhancements to the user interface. The update may also make multitasking easier. For instance, it allows Mate X6 to run three apps simultaneously.

AI could be a major addition this time. The Mate X6 foldable phone shows AI messaging that hides notifications when detects people peeking into your device.
