Huawei unveils Nova 13 series in global market with AI camera features

It’s December 12 and Huawei has welcomed the Nova 13 series on the global market with a range of exciting features. The high-end smartphone lineup is here to offer the best photography experience to users with the power of AI.

Without any delays, let’s check the all-new Huawei Nova 13 series and its eye-catching capabilities.

Huawei Nova 13 series has two models: Standard and Pro. Both variants come in three colors: Loden Green, White, and Black. The standard phone has a flat display while the Pro one has a quad-curved screen.

Starting with the looks, the standard Huawei Nova 13 resembles its Chinese predecessor – the Nova 12 Ultra. It shows a cylindrical camera module on the left side with a giant star ring for the main camera sensor. The auxiliary lens is allocated below in the module alongside LED Flash.

In case you are looking for something new then the Nova 13 Pro is the right option. It has an elongated camera bump on the back which shows four lens openings arranged in a squarish manner.

The highlight of both models is the unique dynamic plaid texture that offers the best feel to your hands. It reflects a checkered design on the back which is quite aesthetic.

Dimensions

Nova 13 comes with a dimension of 161.4 x 75.3 x 6.98mm and has a weight of 195 grams. Meanwhile, the Pro variant measures 163.4 x 74.9 x 7.82mm and weighs 209 grams.

Display

The Standard Nova 13 equips an OLED screen of 6.7 inches. It supports an FHD+ resolution (2412 x 1084 pixels), 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch feedback, 1.07 billion colors, and a P3 wide color gamut.

On the other hand, the Pro model has a 6.76-inch OLED panel with 2776 x 1224 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Software

Huawei Nova 13 series features the EMUI 14.2 operating system. The company has not listed the chip details but the Chinese launch info suggests that both handsets equip a Kirin 8000 processor.

Both models support 12GB RAM and two storage variants: 256GB and 512GB. Consumers can pick the memory versions as per their requirements.

Camera

Huawei Nova 13 has a dual-camera system on the back including a 50MP main lens and an 8MP ultrawide snapper with 10x digital zoom. It comes with a 60MP selfie camera and various interesting shooting modes.

Nova 13 Pro has a rear three-lens arrangement which consists of a 50MP RYYB super-sensitive color filter array primary camera, a 3x telephoto anti-shake sensor with RYYB and OIS properties, as well as an 8MP wide-angle macro lens. At the front side, there’s a 60MP selfie shooter with a 5x optical zoom portrait lens housed in a pill-shaped cutout.

AI Features

The Huawei Nova 13 series comes on the global platform with an XD portrait engine that enhances facial contours, refines slim texture, and clears complexion. It balances the light and shadow to offer the best portraits.

AI Best Expression: One of the best features of Nova 13 models is the AI Best Expression. It selects the perfect expressions from past pictures and suggests to you whenever you want to change your look in any image.

Some other AI capabilities include AI charging temperature control, battery-charging management, and AI eye comfort that boosts the mid-dark detail brightness by 104% to offer a glare-free view.

Battery

Both devices pack a 5000mAh cell with 100W Turbo superfast charging. The device gets charged up to 50% within 10 minutes.
