Huawei topped Xiaomi, Apple with 10 million unit sales in global wearable market

Huawei has defeated Xiaomi and Apple in the Q1 2025 global wearable race with 10 million unit sales. The company has sold the highest number of smartwatches within the first three months of this year, securing the first position in the market.
IDC has released the global wearable market report for Q1 2025 and found Huawei in the top place with 10 million sales. The company made a good score in watch shipments globally, thanks to the Watch GT 5, Fit 3, and Ultimate models.
On the other hand, the tech giant earned a global wearable market share of 21.9% year-on-year. The overall smartwatch sales have increased by 42.4% YoY.
The Chinese OEM shipped 7 million wearable units last year during the same period, with a 17% market share. This time, Huawei sold more than 3 million units. It seems the innovative wearable features and health modes have gained a lot of attention.
Apart from the global segment, Huawei has also achieved the first spot in the Chinese wearable market for the first quarter of this year.

Xiaomi is the second position holder in this race with 8.7 million unit sales and 19% of the market share. It grew by 42.6% and ranked first in China in sales growth.
Apple is seeing a significant rise in the Q1 2025 global wearable market, with 7.0 million wearable shipments and a 37.2% sales growth rate. It has captured 15.5% market share this time. Though it is standing in third place.
Samsung and Garmin achieved the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. The former sold 3.4 million smartwatches in his time with a 7.5% market share, while the latter has a shipment of 2.1 wearable units and a 4.7% market share worldwide.
The global wearable market obtained 45.57 million unit shipments in Q1 with a 10.5% YoY increase. Among these figures, China owns 17.62 million units (37.6% hike).
