Huawei to launch four new tablets soon, here is what’s coming

After the Pura 80 series smartphones, Huawei is working on four dynamic tablets that it will launch in the coming months. The OEM didn’t unveil any MatePad products on home turf this year. Perhaps it has saved these offerings for the second half.

UncleKanshan noted that Huawei will soon launch four new tablets with notable enhancements. The listing includes 1 flagship model, two mid-range devices, and a Qingyun commercial tablet. All these devices are in the pipeline.

Four new tablets are coming:

  • Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 2025
  • Huawei MatePad Air 12 2025
  • Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025
  • Qingyun C7 2025

MatePad Pro 12.2 2025 has recently made its debut in the global market. The device features a slight upgrade in the camera module design, a useful Papermatte display, and a stylus storage in the detachable keyboard.

Some details also reveal that the tablet will run on the Kirin 9020A chipset, offering better performance over the MatePad Pro 13.2 2024 tablets. It may bring better satellite communication, probably the low-orbit satellite-based functionalities.

On the other hand, Huawei has to soon unveil the Qingyun C7 tablet for commercial customers. It is generally a line of commercial tablets designed for large enterprises, government organizations, and financial institutions.

The other two tablets could also accompany new changes this time. One of the major upgrades for all these MatePad devices will be HarmonyOS 5.0 stable version.

Among these tablets, the rumored 8.8-inch device remains a mystery. Early inputs suggested that Huawei will launch an ultra-small tablet this year with surprising parameters. Though the company hasn’t revealed any details on this matter.

Perhaps the tech giant will introduce such a product later this year. Another suspected surprise in this device category is a foldable tablet. Though the launch timeframe for this handset is currently missing from the frame.
