Huawei is planning to strengthen China’s aviation and steel sector with its AI technologies. The company is cooperating with certain groups in its home ground to expand the use of digital/AI solutions, gearing up the country’s technological growth.

News revealed that Huawei signed a strategic cooperation with the Hainan Airlines and Fangda Steel Technology group last week. Both firms are run by Fangda.

Fangda Group is a Chinese industrial conglomerate. It is involved in many industries and focuses on carbon, chemicals, medical, steel products, mining, and more.

Under this agreement, Huawei will supply Fangda Aviation and Steel with AI LLMs for trial applications, smart transforming solutions, and relevant technologies.

The Chinese tech giant aims to gain a foothold in the Chinese traditional industries. It will eventually help both the company and the country to grow conventional businesses. Meanwhile, the cooperation will expand Huawei’s AI business roots.

Zhang Pingan – the Cloud Chief of Huawei said that Fangda needs the base to develop AI and big data technology. Perhaps, Huawei will provide this foundation with its AI solutions. Fangda Group Chairman – Fang Wei says:

“We hope to further expand our collaboration with Huawei into medical business, based on the long-term and in-depth cooperation in aviation and steel.”

Fangda also expects to develop an advanced steel industry model to solve AI and LLM challenges in the company. As per Fangda Special Steel officials, the partnership with Huawei will promote deep integration of digital tech with the firm’s core steel business operations, boosting digitization and competitiveness in the market.

Huawei is continuously joining hands with native companies to expand its business in every field. Whether it’s smartphones, smart car solutions, or AI techs. These collaborations will help the company to become more self-sufficient this year.
