A few days ago, China’s Zhejiang Mobile with Huawei and other industry partners launched an action plan to take the lead in proposing to build the first 5.5G (5G-A) city.

Compared with 5G, 5G achieves a 10 times increase in network capabilities. It has multiple capabilities such as 10 Gigabit ultra-large bandwidth, deterministic experience, full-scenario IoT, and more.

It is understood that after four years of 5G construction, the current scale of 5G base stations in the province has reached 120,000 stations, the population coverage rate exceeds 95%, and the number of 5G users is 32 million.

This year, Zhejiang Mobile will expand cooperation with Huawei and scale up end-to-end industry chain collaborative innovation. Huawei along with its partners will also open up the three new industrial spaces of the Internet of People, the Internet of Things, and the Internet of Vehicles to build the first 5.5G city.
