Huawei testing a new device with codename ‘Milestone’ and a new processor

Huawei has started preparing for the launch of its Huawei Mate 40 series that will be packed with a new chipset and new techs. Meanwhile, new information suggests that the company is also testing a new device with a new processor, and this year’s launch date.

According to a well known Weibo tipster – Digital Chat Station, Huawei is testing a new device with the code name “Milestone”. The phone has a new processor and its mass production is scheduled for August, while delivery in September.

The tipster wasn’t sure whether it’s a Huawei Mate 40 series device or something else but the of the final delivery likely to match the flagship unveiling later this year.

Huawei Mate 40 series will equip the new 5nm Kirin 1000 chipset, which will be introduced during IFA 2020 in September.

Moreover, the company still has an under-screen camera phone pending in its launch list and if it’s not coming with the Mate 40 series then the phone will make its way as a separate device.

Huawei is yet to come with an official confirmation on this matter but we’ll keep you posted with further developments.
