On February 22, at the launch of the Huawei Mate X2 foldable phone, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Yu Chengdong said a few things about the current growth and the challenges in-front of Huawei.

Yu said, in 2020, we come alive and confirmed that Huawei’s consumer business strategy for the next 5 to 10 years is still a full-scenario smart strategy.

2020 was a very extraordinary year and it was also a very very difficult one. Not only there was a pandemic but Huawei also has to face second and third rounds of U.S. sanctions.

“With the strong support of our partners and global consumers, we come out alive from 2020.” said Yu Chengdong.

According to the data, Huawei ranked first in the market share of smartphones and wearable products in the Chinese market in 2020. The company achieved 80% growth in the TWS headset market.

Currently, Huawei’s smart equipment has exceeded 1 billion, HiLink ecosystem users exceeded 50 million, and Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) monthly active users exceeded 580 million.

In order to provide better services, Huawei has opened over 10000 Huawei authorized stores and 2000+ authorized service centers across the Chinese market, with a service satisfaction rate of 99 percent.

“We have ranked first in consumer satisfaction in China for six consecutive years, and the gap with the second and third places has been widening,” told Yu.
