Huawei starts Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition smartphone sale
Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition is live on its first sale. The Chinese tech giant has shelved the flagship device on its online store for purchase. It may soon be available for offline selling purposes. Consumers can visit VMall to buy the handset.
Mate 70 Pro Premium is slightly inferior to the original model in performance. While the Mate 70 Pro offers 40% improved performance over its predecessor, the Premium delivers 35%. Though users may not observe much difference.
Another difference is the storage variants. The Premium Edition has three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. These variants differ in prices as follows:
- 12GB + 256GB = 6199 yuan
- 12GB + 512GB = 6699 yuan
- 12GB + 1TB = 7699 yuan
The Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition is also 300 yuan cheaper than its original sibling. Other than performance and price, the rest of the features and specifications of the new Premium Edition are the same as the base model.

Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition differs in performance from the basic version due to a downclocked Kirin 5G chip. The company has used a new downgraded processor for the newly launched edition. You can check the details below.
The device also skips the Gold+Silver Brocade color scheme and comes in four shades: Spruce Green, Hyacinth Purple, Snow White, and Obsidian Black. It features a 6.9-inch OLED panel with 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 300Hz touch feedback.
Mate 70 Pro Premium supports dual OS apps. It comes out of the box with HarmonyOS 4.3 but can also upgrade to the HarmonyOS NEXT.
The rear camera of the smartphone has a 50MP main lens, a 40MP ultrawide-angle shooter, a 48MP macro telephoto, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral lens. The front part has a 13MP lens with 3D depth.
It packs a 5500mAh cell with 100W fast charging support, 18W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W wireless reverse charging.
