Huawei starts eKitStor Xtreme 200E 1TB SSD sale at $68

Huawei eKitStor Xtreme 200E SSD with 1TB storage variant is now open for sale. The new drive brings various benefits over the previous version. It relies on the XtremeLink Architecture and offers extremely fast data transmission in no time.

The Chinese tech giant keeps upgrading its storage solution with new changes and enhancements. As of now, the company has launched a cost-effective SSD for users.

Inputs reveal that the new eKitStor Xtreme 200E SSD comes in two storage versions: 512GB and 1TB. It equips the 3D QLC (Qauad-Level Cell) NAND component. It is a flash memory that arranges memory cells vertically in several layers and increases the storage capacity of a chip. The tech can store up to 4 bits of info per cell.

Huawei eKitStor Xtreme 200E SSD stands on the PCIe 4.0 x 4 framework and adheres to NVMe 2.0 parameters. It measures 22mm x 80mm (M.2 form factor).

It is a DRAM-less HMB solution that has a dedicated DRAM cache inside itself. Such types of SSDs use memory buffers or pseudo-cells to compensate for the need of a DRAM cache. It is budget-friendly and offers reasonable capacity upgrades.

Speaking of the performance, the Huawei eKitStor Xtreme provides 1500 times more read/write cycles. It has a reading speed of 6500MB/s whereas, the writing speed is 7000MB/s. Its MTBF ranges up to 1.5M hours and has a 5-year warranty.

The endurance measurement of the 1TB variant is 400TBW while the 512MB has 200TBW. Huawei eKitStor Xtreme 200E SSD is now on sale at JD.com for 499 yuan ($68). You can check the complete details of the new drive in the specs sheet below.
