Huawei has officially confirmed that the next launch conference will happen on November 17. Alongside this announcement, the company has also confirmed a new smartwatch – Huawei Watch GT Runner, which is specially designed for runners.
According to the promo poster, the smartwatch renders shows “Huawei Watch GT Runner”. The watch has a circular frame and a sturdy strap. The watch’s frame also has labels such as “Sport-LAP” and the display of the watch is showing important signs such as speed, power index, heart rate, distance, and more.
The Watch GT runner is likely to be powered by the latest HarmonyOS operating system and it could be the first smartwatch to use floating antenna design profession sports stopwatch. This technology can provide precise positioning while moving continuously.
According to Huawei President of Consumer Business product line, the company is applying for a patent on this technology.

Huawei steps in top five Metaverse patent ranking
Huawei is constantly attaining success in the patent field. In the latest edition, Huawei has secured its place among the top five tech makers in the Metaverse patent ranking and immensely contributed to digital evolution.
The Tokyo research company – Cyber Creative Institute (associated with foreign media) has recently published the Metaverse patent ranking report for several manufacturers including Huawei.

A total of 20 cooperations were counted in the Metaverse patent ranking. Together, these companies have submitted 7,760 patent applications. Accordingly, the US counts a contribution of 57%, and South Korea and China have 19% and 12% respectively.
