Huawei signed partnership with Micromax to expand its offline market in India

Huawei has officially signed a partnership with Indian consumer electronics firm Micromax Informatics for distributing its products around India in order to grow its product’s offline presence across the country and bouncing out from the limitation of retail partners only.

“With an aim to be present where our consumers are, we plan to focus on a robust offline distribution network catering to the needs of consumers in urban as well as the rural regions of the country and to make them experience the innovative technology that has won the hearts of customers’ world over,” said Tornado Pan, head Huawei India consumer BG while announcing the partnership.

According to Huawei, this new partnership is aimed to bring Huawei in the whole country starting from cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Kolkata, and Jaipur will be targeted amongst others.

“We are pleased to partner with Huawei telecommunications, with this long-term partnership we aim to reinforce our commitment towards consumers in India,” said Sunil Joon, Head of Strategy, Micromax.

According to the recent data shown by IDC, Huawei records the fastest smartphone sales growth this year. It sold 200 million smartphones in 2018 and shipped 100 million devices by the end of May, which faster compared to the same mark achieved last year.

Huawei has also achieved a 3-month sales record with its P30 series to reach 10 million sales in just 85 days, which is two months faster than the P20 series.
