Huawei senior official confirms Pura 80 series launch for next month

It’s confirmed! Huawei has announced to launch the flagship Pura 80 series next month. One of the senior officials of the company has now shared the details on the upcoming smartphones including the Nova 14 and the new-gen Pura handsets.

Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman Richard Yu recently attended a conference at the Southern University of Science and Technology. During the interrogation, the executive confirmed the Huawei Pura 80 series launch for next month.

Richard initially said that the Nova 14 series will release on May 19th and unlock a whole new level of user experience. He added – the next lineup is Pura 80.

“Next month, we have this one. Pura 80 series is about to be released.”

The Chairman mentioned that the new-gen Pura flagship will launch in June. Although he didn’t reveal the specific launch date for the approaching smartphones.

The launch date is quite in line with the previous revelations. After the new announcement, many tipsters said that the Pura 80 will release from mid-to-late June.

Nova 14 smartphones

Apart from the Pura 80 launch confirmation, Richard Yu mentioned that the company will ship around 10-20 million Nova handsets this year. This time, the company aims to focus on the mid-range smartphone market to expand HarmonyOS benefits.

Huawei Pura 80 series will probably be the most powerful camera beast on the market. The company is rumored to use its self-developed camera setup for the Ultra variant. Meanwhile, the other handsets will bring significant lens upgrades.

Inputs also say that the Pura 80 Ultra will feature a 10x optical zoom, just like the P40 Pro+ smartphone. If true, users will witness more enhanced and detailed macrophotography than other smartphones.

According to early rumors, Huawei could use bigger display panels for the Pura 80 models over its predecessors. The company is seemingly preparing a new Kirin chip version with more optimized performance.
