In the past, Huawei has published the Patent Wall on the company’s official website. It revealed 729 patents, preserved for various devices including 5G, Wi-Fi, operating systems, cameras, smart cars, and future technologies.

Still, the company is continually adding new patents for various devices and technologies. On 30 March, Huawei has published a new patent for Graphene Field Effect Transistor with the publication number CN110323266B in China.

The patent document describes that graphene field-effect transistor is related to semiconductor technologies. This will helps to inflame the device’s output resistance so that the switching ratio can be increased for a better radiofrequency.

The graphene field-effect transistor consisted of three-terminal or electrodes:

  • A primary and secondary gate electrode that acts as the controller
  • The first and second gate dielectric layer
  • Source or channel layer and drain electrodes

Furthermore, the source layer’s components include AB stacked double-layer graphene or AB stacked multi-layer graphene followed by the primary and secondary gate electrode placed on the opposite side face of the layer.

The first gate electrode contains a plurality of first sub-electrodes and first connecting sub-electrodes arranged at the intervals and extending direction of the first sub-electrodes. The first and the second sub-electrode are used for the vertical electric field perpendicular to the channel layer.

The distance between the source electrode and the drain electrode crosses the projections of the first connecting sub-electrode, and the channel layer on the substrate does not overlap.

To be mentioned, semiconductors are employed in the manufacture of various kinds of electronic devices, including diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits. Such devices have found in wide application because of their compactness, reliability, power efficiency, and low cost.

Aside from this, Huawei has recently registered a new Car key trademark which could bring new functionality for the smart cars. At the same time, the company has published a new patent for the navigation method. This innovation will help to find car parking spaces.
