Huawei responds to air gesture file transfer issues in Pura X foldable

Huawei is rolling out a significant change to the Pura X foldable phones that fixes the air gesture file transfer and screenshot feature problems. The firm has amended a few things to make the file-sharing more convenient on the new folding device.

Air gesture file transfer makes media sharing efficient and fun. Users can enact the grab gesture to screenshot the media and swipe the hands in the air to share it on nearby devices. It’s a combination of a screenshot and sharing feature.

The feature debuted with the powerful Huawei Mate 70 series. It requires the same Huawei ID and account that the user has been using before. Now the company has brought the new air gesture screenshot + file sharing to Pura X.

But the features are functioning abnormally in the newly launched foldable. When users try to perform both screenshot and air transfer operations together, the device refuses to support the former task and only completes the sharing one.

As a result, the photos and videos in the gallery, songs in Huawei Music, and videos in the Huawei Video app only support the air transfer feature but not the screenshot one.

Huawei has now responded to this problem. The company said that Pura X device owners can enable one feature at a time and should turn off the Air Screenshot to work effectively with the Air Gesture File Transfer and vice versa.

Note that you should not permit two devices together to detect the ‘grab’ gestures, or else the file-sharing operation will fail.

Apart from the air gesture file transfer feature, Huawei Pura X supports new Celia capabilities that make daily tasks easier and more efficient. Just one click and you can summarize long articles or whisper and order the assistant for certain operations.
