Huawei reportedly said chip shortage situation in China is improving

Huawei gave positive news to Chinese President – Xi Jinping, on “China chip shortage concerns”. The firm revealed that Chinese tech is improving gradually. Semiconductor and OS situations are under control and will get better in the future.
A report reveals that the Chinese President recently met with the private sector executives. He discussed the tensions about US-based hurdles and their impact on the country’s tech field. It seems Huawei has given a sign of relief in this matter.
Ren Zhengfei – Huawei Founder, attended the meeting with Xi Jinping and told the President that chip shortage concerns in China began fading bit by bit. He said that the lack of self-made semiconductors and operating systems is now easing.
The report is coming from the courtesy of a Chinese media – The People’s Daily. Many firms, including BYD and Xiaomi, attended the discussion with Xi Jinping.
As per details, six companies’ founders were allowed to address the Chinese President at a time. Firms like DeepSeek and Alibaba also joined the meeting.
Huawei’s Founder stated that China’s stress about the “lack of core and soul” has eased. He added that China will rise faster in the technology field in the future.
“I firmly believe a greater China will rise faster.” – said Ren Zhengfei.
According to a Chinese technology minister, the ‘core’ refers to chips, whereas the ‘soul’ means operating systems. Situations are changing for good in China.
US-China chip war is not an unknown story. Back in 2019, the US blocked Huawei from accessing advanced technologies and chipmaking tools. As a result, the company suffered from a chip shortage. The foreign authorities further prevented Google from providing GMS to the Chinese OEM, leading to a less efficient OS.
Over time, Huawei teamed up with native partners and developed its own Kirin 5G chips as well as HarmonyOS NEXT operating systems. Now the tech giant feels that the chip and OS situations are getting better day by day.
More positive changes may take space in China in the coming days. However, how the US government will react to these changes is a matter of concern.
