Huawei registers ‘Xuanjia’ trademark for super-strong smartphone body

Huawei has now registered a new trademark called ‘Xuanjia’, particularly for a durable smartphone body structure. After beautiful phone designs, the company seemingly focuses on improving the durability aspects of the devices.

According to the application, Huawei Xuanjia trademark for smartphone body structure falls under the ‘scientific instrument’ category and has a pending status review.

Xuanjia means Black Armor (a suit for soldiers). Armor refers to a super-strong clothing made up of durable metal that protects the material inside.

It is not a new term in the Huawei world. The company introduced a similar label with the Mate 60 Pro, called ultra-reliable Xuanwu phone architecture. It integrates three layers of protection. These layers are:

• Ultra-drop-resistant 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass
• Ultra-tough basalt body
• Ultra-durable nylon material

These components make the Mate 60 Pro 10x tougher against compression and 5x durable against external pressure. Huawei then launched the Enjoy 70X, which has an Xuanjia body structure and received a 5-star rating for drop resistance.

Enjoy 70X offers 10% improved drop resistance and increases the pressure resistance by 65kg. Perhaps, the new trademark could be for mid-to-low-range devices.

The latest trademark hints at enhancing the smartphone body structure with innovation and making it more durable against drops and external risks.

It is unclear which smartphone lineup will use this new body structure. Though we mat find accurate details in the time ahead.
